A-cappella Konzert am 18. August
Am Freitag, den 18. August 2023 um 19:30 Uhr präsentiert die Cappella Aquensis ein A-capella Konzert mit englischen Madrigalen der Renaissance, Werken des Frühbarocks und Chormusik der Romantik. Veranstaltungsort ist die Kirche St. Gregorius, Am Chorusberg 3a in Aachen.
Auf dem Programm stehen Werke von Tomas Luis da Vittoria, Thomas Weelkes, John Farmer, Henry Purcell, Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Fanny Hensel, Wilhelm Peterson Berger, Julius Bechgaard und Johannes Brahms.

Secular summer concert with instrumental accompaniment

In this summer concert we celebrate music with works from the Renaissance to the 20th century. As always, we will perform a variety of a-cappella pieces, but will also be accompanied by piano and brass music. We are very excited about this fantastic concert!

Joint Advent concert with Cambridge University Symphony Chorus
We will perform this year’s Advent concert „Nun komm‘ der Heiden Heiland“ on Saturday, 7 December at 6:00 pm in St. Michael/Hagios Dimitrios.
You will hear four-part to eight-part sacred motets as well as some English Christmas Carols. We will be joined by our friends from Cambridge University Symphony Chorus. Definitely a musical event you should not miss!
Admission is free.

Joint Advent concert with Cambridge University Symphony Chorus
Saturday, 07 December 2019 at 6.00 pm
This concert will be the “return match” of Cambridge University Symphony Chorus in Aachen. After Cappella Aquensis’ wonderful and very successful visit to Cambridge in April, the singers from Cambridge now have the chance to visit Aachen. The highlight of this tour will once again be a joint a-cappella concert. This is a musical event you should definitely not miss!
We will perform four-part to eight-part sacred motets by Bach, Gorecki, Hammerschmidt and others as well as English Christmas Carols.
